Amazon has a 3/16 with 1/4 shaft, but the max cut is 3/4 inch.

The O.D. of the sleeve is 1/2", so, if you have a 1/2" Rock it will fit. However, the length of the bit may not be correct for a machine using a Rock.

Pressing off the sleeve may not be the best idea! It may be better, for you, to just buy your bit from another source.

thanks Bud, I am a machinist, so i believe i could press bit out of sleeve without breaking it. considered another source for 3/16" carving bit but all searches came up with total length of carving (fluted area ) 5/8 long, so i would be limited to depth of carve.
so question still is what is the O.D. of the shank of 3/16 bit?

OK... so I finally purchased the new 3/16 carving bit. Is there anything that I need to do to begin using it for carving? When the machine asked for the carving bit do I just use the 3/16 instead of the 1/16 and it'll know this? I'm running 1.179 SW. Thanks.......

Hi, Jerry, hope you are doing well. You need to assign the bit in designer before you upload to the memory card. Go to board settings then click on pattern bit tab and assign the 3/16 there.
