    Default New From the Tinderbox.....

    Here are a couple of Projects I was commissioned to make for our CO's Change of Command.
    The first is a double sided Litho with a Custom light box Frame with a coin holder to be given from our SNCO Association.

    The second is a Cedar Flag Case to hold the Squadron Colors that the Officers gave him.

    I like those both! Great job. I need to put together a couple of flag holders for some flags that were taken on some missions in Afghanistan. Yours are inspiring.

    Lilskip, really nice work on those. Thanks for showing your work.
    Using Designer 1.187, STL importer, Center line, conforming vectors, scanning probe/PE, and the ROCK chuck.

    ver. 1.188 Win 7- 64b with 6 GB ram @ 2.8Ghz and dual 1Tb hard drives. Rock Chuck & Ringneck vacuum system hooked up to a Harbor Freight large vacuum. Center line text, conforming vectors.

    Outstanding job on both!

    I can very much appreciate the pucker factor you must have had when cutting the corian for the coin holder to size... bandsaw and router with template?

    Thank you all for the compliments on my projects. I try to do things that are different. I did the corian Lithos with the carvewright and painted the letters for all the names on the back so they stand out real well on the corian. I made the frame work that holds the 2 lithos upright with a inlay bushing on my router and the cutout leftover from the corian carve. It has about 40 LED's on the inside powered by a 12v power supply. The coin hold really wasn't that hard I used a hole saw on the drill press and the cut the groove on the table saw. other than that just allot of Glue and Clamps. Thanks again everyone hope it gives some of you some new Ideas. Glad you liked them.
