ID:	42999Tried carving a sort of jewel box out of 1 piece of wood. Anyone tried this before? Going to post front and back of carve before I try to cut it out and put it together. Any Bets??? Front and back attached. Anyone welcome to it if you have the pattern oks.

    A lot of the POTMs are set up this way, with everything on one or two boards.

    As for the time it takes, I have a carve sitting next to me that took almost 24 HOURS to carve! The gentleman that was kind enough to test it then sent it to me to be finished, (thanks ChrisAlb!).

    Sure, there was some babysitting that was done on it while it carved, but it came out alright.

    And the best part of all, is that it was carved on an old version of the software, using the QC chuck. I have been working off and on for over two years on finishing it, and now with the spare time I have in the evenings and on the weekends, it will hopefully be done within the next couple weeks.

    I don't think you will have any problems. As long as you got the sides the same dimensions, and didn't scale them, they should fit perfectly.
