Default my first none standard pattern.

Just got my Carvewright a few weeks ago.
I have done a few tutorials projects and this is the first one I sort of created.

I have a lot to learn but it easier for me to learn by my mistakes.(yes it does expensive)

    Right out of the carbewright

For small text do I need to get centerline text?

Tomorrow I am going to reverse everything and see how it looks.

Good job for your first project Sergeant Austin,

There, now the formal part is over so welcome to the Forum John. I really recommend getting the Centerline software addition as it opens up so many techniques (such as precise smaller text, curved text, etc.). I consider it essential as it gets rid of that problem of text parts flaking off in soft wood. Not to mention it carves much quicker than raster text of the same size. An example attached.

    Thank you kindly Gents,

Jaustin, the USMC Freedom plaque was 18" by 11.22" in 3/4" pine. Made the EGA a bit deep and almost carved right through trying to make the globe as round as possible. That field behind the emblem was only about 1/8" thick and you could see light through it when not on the wall. We learn as we grow. Enjoy your carvings.
