Thread: Set of five violins

  1. #1

    Default Set of five violins

Hello all, I know my violins must be getting old to look at, But it's fun to share.. Here is a new set of five violins made in soft maple this month, 4 string and five strings...
all come in about 1.7 LBS ea.
I had a request to add a tone knob so it was off to designer! all i needed to do was to copy and paste then add a larger control plate on the underside a few hrs of work.

I used clear lacquer with water-base tints for the colors..

You know what LG? I think people would tell you if we were tired of looking and I just don't see that happening with your posts! Thanks for sharing. For me, your talent gives me hope that I can do a lot better than I do now.

I will NEVER get tired of looking at your stuff... Now my Tags.... Once you see one... YOU seen them all.... Boaring..... At least until the check comes in...

Worked out to about $53.00 per hour making the tags after expenses..... They won't all be like that....

Do you sleep? how do you ever have the time to create all these masterpieces? Just prepping the wood, cleaning it up after the carve,
gluing up the pieces would be enough. Then add the finishing to make them so exquisite. Can't imagine how you get it all done. As said by
many others before me, really makes one appreciate an artists work.

ps: thx so much for sharing
