Default After 5 Years finally got one.

Figured I better intorduce myself before blasting abunch of questions HAHA, My name is David and I've been doing woodworking since I was a kid with my DAD But had my own WoodShop with respectable equipment for the last 10. I am a Marine to my soul and I primarly make gifts for my Marines (Shadowboxes, Kbar holders, Sword holders etc.) I have been drooling over getting one of the machines sine they came out but finances wouldn't permit until I got the woodshop to pay for itself (haha wifes condition go figure). So now several years later I finally got one and loving it. So far had it almost a week and made 1 sign and a whole lot of mistakes. I have been reading this forum for a year or so and I'm glad everyone is so helpfull. Looking forward to asking alot of questions and having a lot of DUH!!!!! moments afterwards.

    Hi David,
Welcome, you made a great choice. My first 4 months were a challenge for me. But I have received lots of help from everyone on the forum.
If you have not thought about it, you need to get a dust collector, it will save you all kinds of problems.

Welcome David. I'm active duty AF and have found my cw to be perfect for many of my military-themed ww'ing projects. I'm sure this machine will help you greatly. Welcome, and bring on the questions (they are probably questions some of the rest of us just haven't thought of yet)

    Welcome to the Forum David,
You'll find the CW is a terrific addition to your woodshop and it will add real capabilities to your already impressive woodworking skills. Really handsome work you've accomplished on the sword and Kabar displays and your shadow boxes. Spent a lot of years in joint operations with my USMC brothers. My respectful Salute for your service and again welcome aboard.
