Default Pics of a few Play Pieces...

Well, I've been playing around with the new Compu-Carve for a couple of weeks in my spare time and thought I might show y'all a few of the odds and ends I've done with it. Nothing fancy, still catching on how to get things into the software easily...

These pieces are all still kinda rough yet and need to be sanded, just haven't taken the time...

The letters on 'HIS' are slightly rounded, and the RESTROOM is rounded IN... Haven't sanded down with the cut tabs were yet.

Played around with cutting out some beveled letters. Worked pretty decent. Those are about 3" tall.

A little present for my brother-in-law who is a truck-driver... I know, I know.. it's a logo, but I'm not selling it and only doing ONE... SORRY, PETERBILT.

Jon, I'm curious how you domed and beveld the letters. Do tell...

    Hi, Taz...

I'll give you a quick explanation to how I did it... I actually used CorelDraw to do the original drawing. I then cut and pasted the image and imported it to my favorites in the CW Designer.

After I had the item in CW Designer, I clicked on Tools>Outline Pattern to get a Vector of the outline. I then selected those lines and click the Cut Through icon to cut out the shape.... You may have to select Flip Cut if it looks like it is cutting into your design...

I'm attaching a pic of the bitmap I exported out of CorelDraw to create the pattern. This will give you an idea of how it should look coming out of your graphics program...

Feel free to ask any more questions...
