Thread: cutting inside radius

    Default cutting inside radius

Hi, I am making an oval platter. I need to have a 1/2" radius at the bottom of the remved area inside the bowl. The feater tool gives me a slant, but I would like the inside edge to have a straight side with a 1/2" id radius at the bottom.
thanks, I am new to the machine and have a lot to learn.

If it's a carved out region, just set your feather to none. If the plate is a pattern, I think setting the 'draft' to none will fix it. Not sure I understand the question, so if this don't do the trick let us know.

If I understand what your asking for it is most often done in a graphics program
and then imported into WC Designer and saved as a Ptn Pattern.

Thanks for the answers. This looks like what I am trying to do. Is it possible to do the radius with the machines software, or would I have to do an outline cut with a 1/2" core box bit?
