Default Hi everyone Newbie here. QUESTION INSIDE.

Hi. I just bought my machine. Have not tried it out yet. I have a question. Has anyone tried metal engraving on this machine?I know it says NOT FOR METAL. But aluminum is very soft. If I use a metal cutting bit. Use the smallest depth setting. Do you think I can get it to work?I make throttle plates for cars. The manual engraver is slow. I thought this would be a fast way to make them. What do you guys think? Here is one of my plates.

Carving or cutting metal of any kind is NOT recommended, as the machine is NOT protected from the cut metal and it could easily damage the electronics, as well as the drive mechanisms. I'll use my mill and lathe (not CNC though) for metal cutting.
