    Default Faux Cuckoo clock

    Ed thanks.

Here is my next pattern. It was more an exercise in design. I don't plan to carve it but it doesn't look to be that bad, at least on screen. Not exactly sure how well the small parts at the bottom will carve.

Hopefully it is useful to someone. Software says a little over two hours on normal. The grey image is the 3d model I built. CW software does a great job in translating to pattern.

The pattern includes the front facade and a two sided carve for the faux weights. There are electronic pendulum clocks starting at 10 dollars out in "the internet" if someone wants to build this. I used basic squares to build up a shingled roof as an option but simple 1/4" plywood may be better.

If someone tries this please let me know if it worked or not or if it needs to be tweaked.

Edit: I just saw I messed up on the numbers. reloaded the pattern but with the right number order. Sorry for anyone that downloaded the previous pattern.

Yes, unfortunately it was built completely as a 3d model so unless you have the 3d model or software to modify 3d models you are stuck with whatever I build...which you make a great suggestion. Went back and removed the numbers so now you can add whatever ones you want.

The original post has the numbers fixed as well on the pattern. I didn't update the pictures because I was lazy and they were only for reference.

Thank you. That was a needed tweak.

    Default Fool

This is what drinking does to pattern making. Spousal unit upset at amount of wine consumed to create this.
