    Default An OREO for Al

Hey Al, I will be back in the hospital Friday for more heart repairs. But, I wanted to post this for you before I go.
I made an OREO cookie by carving the attached design in Black Walnut. After cutting them out, I glued a piece of round plywood between them and then ran a bead of white caulking around it. I thought you might like this one, so here it is. The MPN (made in 1.187), The Picture from Designer, and a picture of the finished carving.
It is about 5 inches in diameter. I know, it will drive the Grand Kids nuts.

    take care
    Ed

Very cool! Also you will be in my prayers for your surgery. Good luck on that and hurry back.

    Ed,

Wishing you the best of luck. I had 3 stints and then a triple bypass back in 2005 so I can say from experience that heart surgery isn't a whole lot of fun. But, if it fixes the problem life is so much better (after the recovery of course). Coughing is a real pain though. (lol)

Here's a pattern that I made from a picture that my son sent to me. The photo is the carving done in Black Walnut. The sharpie is only to give you an idea of the size. I think that a larger carving would look better.
