Just finished this one last week. These are my father's medals that he received during WWII. I have his actual medals in a case, but decided to see how they might turn out if I carved them all. Looks like they turned out OK. I'm now going to make a few more plaques and send them to my siblings so they can enjoy and pass them on to their kids. As I was doing some research and looking in to the medals that my father received during WWII, I discovered that he is eligible for the Bronze star so now I'm in the process of sending in his documents that I have and submitting him for his Bronze Star. Although he's not around anymore I'm sure he might have had something to do with sending me on this latest journey of research. I think he's looking down with a smile on his face. So.... this one is for you dad... "Related by birth.... brothers by Service". Miss you pop!

That is awesome. One of the best plaques I have ever seen.

That is awesome Jerry ... a great tribute to your dad and fellow soldier. It is amazing how our projects uncover things.
