It definitely looks like the comforming vectors is not working for the text. It doesn't look like its following the curvature of the heart. I don't have comforming vectors so can't help.

User issue. Either never knew or forgot about the Conform option(senor moment?). See the picture. When it is on the problem magically goes away. Only comes forward when working on text with centerline as far I can tell.
Thanks to LHR for their response to my problem, all better now.
