Pocketing was one of the first things I wanted when I first got my Carvewright. I can't believe we STILL don't have it.
It's so VERY inefficient not having this capability....

Keeping you in the dark. That's half way to being treated like a mushroom.
You can always raster carve the area with a 1/8" feather (not flipped), hen go around it with a 1/8" cutting bit with a 1/16" inset to square up the edges. Quicker to design, but longer to carve = same result.
