Thread: First finished projects.

  1. Default First finished projects.

Here are my first offical finished projects using the CW. Just basic initials carved for a box lid only complication was carving in the rough barn wood, I jointed the back flat taking care to keep the overall thickness uniform then raster carved (dont have centerline yet) the initals into a plain relief. Like I said basic for the machine but I am happy with the end results which will be storage boxes for some hand tool that I also made. All the wood used here was reclaimed from an old farm building near my home in Kentucky.

    Thanks for looking.

Well that is a fine job on those boxes-- I like the overall effect of the multi-tone. On a side note, I'd love to see pics of the tools you made to put in the boxes. My next project is an infill plane and I always love seeing others' work

Nice job (especially for a first) and thanks for sharing

    Hello Daniel,

Those turned out great! Very nice idea. I would love to see what goes inside the boxes, too!

Nice job especially for your first carve. Make that three votes for pictures of your hand made tools as well. And a hearty Welcome To The Forum!
