Default 3/16 bit and 1.77 software

Has anybody tried this 3/16 bit in the new software yet? When doing cutouts does the machines feed rate increase? I have put in a 3/16 bit in place of the 1/8 bit but it was the slow feed rate so it wouldn't break the bit. I would sure like this if it does increase the cutout speed. Are there any other bugs with the new version?

I never was sent a bit to test out.. But I have a feeling the bit will take a lot of stress..

A number of changes relating to this bit were added to the control software, most notably the cut feed rate was increased. This can be observed when "uploading" a project with 1/8" cuts versus 3/16" cuts.

While we're at it, why is the bit available only for the CT?

I would hope that RJustice or another 3rd party vendor will release a suitable non-ct version shortly.

Right now it looks like it's the press fit ones only. I would think as long as you have the 1/2" rock you should be able to use it without hassle.

We have the CT on sale $20.00 off and carbide 1/16" carving bits, 1/16" cutting bits & 1/8" cutting bits are all on sale 10% off. If you are considering upgrading, now would be a good time! Plus, for the month of December the Gift Certificates ($50 & $100 only) are giving an extra 10% more, so buy them and use them for an even greater saving on the upgrade!

It is the same as the 1/8 inch bit. 1 inch max. It is simply a beefier cutting bit.
