Default i want to buy a sign!

    Hi folks,

Just passed the Bar, planning to hang out my own shingle- literally! I'm also a woodworking hobbyist, but don't own a carvewright/compucarve.

I know some of you have sidelines in signmaking, would rather give money to a craftsman than a Kinko's... that said, I don't have a huge budget... if you've done work like this before, would love to see some samples, maybe get a ballpark price via PM (or whatever the protocol is in this online community).

FWIW, i can finish the wood & paint it myself...

    Congratulations on the BAR !!!!!!

Knowing where you are would help.... There are many here that make signs and since you say you can do the finishing, that is good....

So you will be hanging the sign.... Careful.... The Liability of hanging a sign.... If a heavy wind knocks it down on someone's head or damaged a car...... (Snicker....) Just kidding with you.....

Let us know where you are... There are a few Good Sign Makers here....

    Good Luck,

    Congratulations on passing the bar!

Here is a sample of a sign I made for another attorney. It is made of cherry and measures approx. 14 x 24" . Her father is a fellow woodworker and applied the finish.

Feel free to PM me if something like this interests you.

    Jim
