Default 1.171 and the "blur tool" not working!

It has been a while since I've done anything with the machine and software and just updated to 1.171. I'm trying to work on a scan and can not get the blur tool to work. I've tried the tool pressure setting from 1 to 100 and nothing happens.

Is there an issue with the tool?

Search did not find anything on the topic...

I'm one of those 40, but I haven't downloaded 1.171 yet. Now I'm waiting for you to finish your stint as the test pilot....lol

I have Ver. 1.171 on one of my Pc's -- I tried the Blur Tool and it appeared to work

    Ken,
Thanks for the feedback. Just double checking but was that your blur tool or blur filter?

I renamed the CW file to "old" and then re down loaded 1.171 and still could not get the tool to work so I un installed it and tried again.

During the install I got an error pop up window so my next step I guess is to remove all designer (even the rename) and try again..

Ok I wiped all designer progam info and did the re install. Tried the blur tool on the one pattern I was working with and saw no changes to the pattern. Side not on this, the "save" icon did not light up to show any changes were done to the pattern. HMMMM, tried a different pattern and the tool worked just fine.. save icon even lite up as soon as I used the tool.....

I wunder if patterns from previous versions fail to have parts be recconized in the new version?

That was My Blur Tool, you can see in the photo the upper part of the pattern I rubbed it on
the lower part remained un-touched, The Blur filter affects the entire pattern all at the same time.

The Amazing Grace Cross Pattern I used was made with Ver.1.164 --- the Blur check I did with Ver1.171 and worked
