Default A little something for the Neice

Here is a project I finally got around to completing for my Neice (It is not completely done yet. I need the Lacquer to fully cure and then rub it out a little for a finished look). My SIL has been asking for it for a while and HT was nice enough to help out with the patterns (thanks again, HT). It is solid Cherry with Maple, Walnut, and Bloodwood accents and lined with aromatic Cedar. After assembly it got a good coat of BLO and let dry for a week. Then it got a sealer coat of #2 superblonde shellac and finally 7 coats of lacquer sprayed on. I felt the extra coats of lacquer were need so I could rub it out properly and still acheive the depth (look) I wanted. Size is 40"L x 20"D x 26"T

    Comments and/or critiques always welcome

Now if I can only get to the matching shelving with the patterns Robb did for me.

Wow! What a great looking piece. Very impressive! I love those contrasting accents!! And from what I can see you have a pretty darn nice shop as well!
