    Default Scanner

I received my scanner, built a sled and scanned in my first object. The instalation was very simple. The object I scanned was a large Marine Corps emblem (5 by 5) inches and just over an inch at the highest point.

The scan to 3 1/2 hours on best. When I tied to carve it I received some axis problems that I have not ben able to resolve yet. (These problems are not related to the probe).

My sled is 3ft by 14 1/8 inches. The bottom is connected to the side rails with pocket screws and a piece of smooth masonite is place on the bottom with double stick tape. The scanned object was hot glued to the masonite and removed very easily with a putty knife. I have some appointments tomorrow and if anyine is interested I will put up pictures of the sled.

The scanner does everything LHR says it will.

  2. Default sled

Please do post the pic of the sled. I may get a prob and it would be nice to have everything ready upon it's arrival.
    Thanks
    Quick Carver
