Default New computer...how to migrate software?

I got a new laptop. One of those Alienware beasts.
How do I get my software over, and registered on this baby?
    Anyone know the procedure?

I know others have had this issue, but this is a hard topic to search on, and find.

LHR will assist you with the new unit. You are allowed to have 2 PCs use the software for each Carving unit you own. Just give them a call.

This Alienware laptop is so smokin' fast, it's hard to believe.

I found a link up here to version 1.162, and just installed it.
I get 30 days before I need to straighten out the registration.

It sure runs smooth on this hardware....

The first thing they will tell you when you call, I hope, is to get the newest version of the software (1.164 as of 19/5/2010). It can be found at http://www.carvewright.com/update/ and fixed several issues in 1.162.

So Mark is the 1.164 complete? I went to the link and I am downloading it, but I am not sure of your date 19/5/2010! ( I know a military man!)

I have not used the CW for little while and plan to today I hope all goes well! Thank you for the heads up!

    Default 1.164 is indeed out

and it has some cool features to play with. I really like the ability to set splines tangent to arcs and lines in addition to other spline segments, it allows for some interesting designs. I have never served in the military, but I have always had an affinity for 24-hr clocks and that date style. Nice to know if I ever do decide to sign up at least I will know what time and day it is .

I ran into the same instance although it was when I bought a used machine. It was no problem I called, I knew the previous owners name, and in an instant everything was changed over to me. Too bad it couldn't be done for the probe software. I thought I was getting a deal by him throwing in the probe but looks like it's going to cost me 200 bones just to get that running. Kinda a bummer really, guess it shows I should have done my research!
