    Default Trouble with Probe

Today I plugged the probe into the socket on the side of my machine. When I did this the Y-Truck jerked side to side and the Z- Truck jumped up and down. Then the display went to a line of black bars. Tried reformatting the flash card, no help. Ant ideas?

I hope you didn't do that while the machine was turned on. I am sure that would cause a failure

Can't answer your question but I never plug or unplug anything into the machine while it is powered on. Have you tried, which I'm sure you have as you reformatted the card, powering down the machine with out the probe to see if the display comes up like it should? If it does display properly then power down the CW and plug the probe in and repower. Hope this is your case and you can get back to scanning.
