    Default Window boxes

This was a fun project. My grown daughter wanted me to make some window boxes for her new home. She came over and we googled various images to get a feel for what she liked. Then I opened the Designer program and showed her how we could customize the boxes for her. She thought that was really amazing and we came up with a design that she really liked. It was a lot of fun working with her on the design.

Over the next week I carved the fronts and constructed the boxes out of cedar. She picked up the boxes Friday night and painted them and we hung them Sunday using French cleats. She's very happy with her dad.

They look great, Jim. I've always liked to use French cleats for hanging heavy items on a wall.

Thanks everyone, I'm glad that you like them.

For any lookers who may be thinking of buying a machine, the carvings are standard filigrees that come with the machine. The heart shape is easy to make in Designer and cut as an outline, and the "S" was done with Centerline.

    Thanks again,

    Jim
