Does the cw cut in both directions during raster carving ?
Can someone tell me what the actual step over size is in the different "quality settings" for the raster carving ?
Many thanks
John

The machine does cut in both directions on rasters.
For the 1/16" carving bit, the step sizes are roughly:
Draft -> 0.010"
Normal -> 0.008"
Best -> 0.005"

Thanks for the quick info.
Am I right in thinking, from your reply, that the machine adjusts the step size to suit the bit size/profile ?
If this is the case, does it also do this after a bit change within a project, if this is required ?
John
John,
Remember that the bit is only the 1/16" carving bit for raster. Vector will take the other bits. When you have a raster to cut, however, there is no option for what bit to use.

Thanks Bob. All is now clear to this non-machine owner
Well, for the time being, anyway.
