    Question Help/error

    Hello:
    See If One Can Help. Finally We Purchase Scaning Probe. We Were Trying To Make A Trial. But We Are Receiving These : 2 Axis Stall, And Error 246.

    I presume that you had no Z-Axis Stall before the Probe was in place.
    If that is true, you need to know the limit of the Z-Truck and how it may be affected by the probe.

    The Truck moves up & down about 3". However, the probe only has the ability to measure about 1.25" of depth.
    Generally speaking, your sled, for the probe should have side rails just slightly higher than the piece you are going to copy. the probe will stop its downward movement when it reaches the "Bottom" you set and/or accept as you go through the set-up process. If the rails are so high that this downward motion can not happen, then you will get an error.

    You may also get an error if the probe hits/touches the rail, so keep your object centered in such a way as to avoid this problem. You can always rotate the pattern within Editor, if needed.

    There is also the possibility that dirt/chips are in the Z-belt system, but that should have caused Z-errors even without the probe.

    We still having the problem. Could be that the scaning probe is damage?
