    Default Two pattern questions.

    1. When my hard drive crashed, I loaded a new version of Designer on a new computer. I was able to recover my old patterns and move them to a hard drive on the new computer. Designer doesn't show them under Favorites or anywhere else. Where do I move the patterns so that they appear under Favorites?
    to
    2. When I load an image file to make it into a pattern, the editing window is so large that I cannot move the mouse to the bottom so that I can click on "NEXT". Any suggestions?

Default I just make a Carvewright Folder.

In that folder just keep all of your downloads and your projects. Label them so you know what they are, then burn a disc. I use DVD+RW and keep the disk. I have had several crashes over the last several years and just put the disk in and let it download to Documents on Windows. I really have no idea how this stuff works. I don't care, If it does its thing and it works for me I am happy, that makes the wife happy. What else is there to worry about?

I do the same thing on all the files I want
to keep safe. To many computer crashes.
    Can't afford to loose data.

I ... 'think'... you need your old "favorites.mpn" file and put it in the original source folder that the CarveWright software makes on your computer.

I am running Vista Ultimate and under my user name directory there is a folder called CarveWright and the favorites.mpn is in there. Your operating system may be different. Do a file search for your old favorites.mpm and replace the new one with your old file with all your patterns. I would suggest that you rename the 'new' favorites.mpn file and not overwrite or delete it so it can be replaced without reinstalling the CW software.

I am just stating what I have done with success on MY computer. I have no idea if the favorites.mpn file changes between different versions of the CW software.

Good Luck and I sure hope I gave you correct information. I 'think' so.

    Default Back Up

Try the seagate or mextar BU for all files and photos. They are a little pricy, yet they seem to keep it all. I can only replace the files on the same computer with this unit. I am not sure how to carry the files to a different computer. When I go out to ask for information I forget and pick up another bottle of Merlot.

    Thumbs down Junk e-mail.

I have had several unauthorized e-mail that should be avoided.
It is frustrating that some people take great pleasure in being
offensive and stupid with their photos and ignorant ideas of
pornography. I don't want or need this stupid stuff! If this
fits you then please leave this web site alone. We enjoy our
communication without your stupid, ignorant, photos of things
which obviously is a display of your ignorance! This is for woodworkers
and not your dumb idea of photos which only displays your
    lack of value, or credibility.
    THANKS!

    Woodpecker,
Did you ever live in Youngstown, OH?
I used to know a guy who used that name on the CB radio.
