    Hess,

I nearly always (99.9%) center my projects on a sled
and enter the dimensions of the sled as my project size.
All my sleds or Carrier Boards have a 4" filler piece at each end,
no wood wasted, and no Pressure Roller mistakes that way.

    Hi Graig,

Sure check my post #9 of this thread
I like to keep the Rails and end fillers all
the same height as the project board,
    fewer problems that way.

Ken I have never used a sled, a great ideal would be for you to start a thread with your sled plans and maybe I will make a few for myself!

I hope to get some more projects finished and the recent posted painted maybe I will give it a try today?!

    Default Sleds and Carrier Boards

    Hey ke,

I've been posting them for years, sizes, styles explanations, opinions, and instruction.
Even helped a little with my 2cents in Doc Wheeler's Tips & Tricks a while back.
Thought most folks had caught on by now. ---

Ps. I thought I was the only one that could misspell my own name, and have it look like that.

This is what my Sled looked like back when I did the carving last year,
    Hope it helps.

Extra 3 1/2" to 4" fillers at both ends and 3/4" wide rails plus,
a couple dots of hot glue to hold the slab of wood in place.
Thanks Ken, I appreciate this. I owe you another one.
