    Bill,

I think that was just the starting piece. I did a copy and paste to add the others..

    Hello,
Here is the holiday clock from project Idea to carve and finish.
Ken, I am trying to find the time to play with your project ideas.
    Very fun!
I put the PNG file in zip, was created in PS –CS2 and the bevels were added in pattern editor with the blur tool, feel free to edit or make your own.
Well as they say “ off in a cloud of heifers dust”

    Default Wow!

I never realized that drawing a sphere and uploading it would have offered you carvaholics so much late night fun... Cool!

Here's another to play with. Then, and I will follow this with "how to use your CW as a lathe"....

    Cheers!

Default Using your CW as a lathe...

I haven't carved this yet but I thought it would be interesting to try using the CW instead of a lathe(much slower but I don't have a lathe) to make a spindle...

If anybody tries this please post your results...

Excellent Ken!!! And Fletcher thanks for the "parts". I'll give this a whirl tonight. I think we should start another thread for "answers" thou... and also post our mpc's. That way we can see how each other approached the problems and see that there are probably a few ways for doing any task.

    Doug,

Like the idea!! Good way to see if there is another way to approach things and also help to show how not to do it too.

Ok ken.. before I start this.. is Fletcher's spindle the ONLY pattern you are using for this.. or did you also use one for the rings?
