Thread: Z-Axis Guide Rail dropping

    Default Z-Axis Guide Rail dropping

I've been having a problem with the left Z Axis Guide Rail dropping down during a project (the rails on either side of the router head). I first noticed it when the rail dropped low enough to start to scare the top of the wood. It's tight enough that I can't slide it back up by hand. I found that gently tapping it with a hammer will slide it back into position. But slowly as the next project progresses, it starts working it's way back down again.

Has anyone else had this happen? Does anyone know of a way to keep it in it's delivered position?

We mentioned your problem to the hardware guys and got some puzzled looks in response. Those rails are supposed to be recessed so that this cannot happen.

Please give us a call at 713-473-6572 so they can figure out what has happened.
