Thread: How to calculate disk space

Default How to calculate disk space

Is there a way to calculate the amount of disk space required for a certain length of scan time? This is my first scan, and it is a nine hour scan on the high setting. If you don't have enough room on the disk, do you lose all the scan data?

    Thanks,

Just for a quick estimate my card when empty says it will hold 7772 Kb i just did a scan that was on best that was 527 Kb and it took a little over 1 1/2hours to do. So roughly 7772 divided by 527 = 14.74 so 14.74 * 1.5=22.11 hours on a card that's all really rough estimates but you can see your 9 hour scan should easily fit. Ive had stuff on the card before and done over 13 hours and had no problems.Hope this helps. Also if you scan and run out of room the scan will say incomplete but you will be able to see and get what you did have room for.

If you allow it to happen, you can let today erase all of yesterday or if you choose, you can let yesterday erase the rest of your life.

    Default Thanks

It wasn't as large of file as I thought it would turn out... only 2397K, lots of room left over. Here is a screenshot.
