Thread: Cal Range error when calibrating Cal Sensors

Question Cal Range error when calibrating Cal Sensors

Hi all.. My cut path and carvings did not align with front and back. Before examining my work I decided to do a calibration test as I have done in the past to be sure things were right. I went to 'Cal Sensors' and when reaching the length cut near the key pad, on the 2nd pass I got: "Calibration Range Error" not allowing to complete the calibration. I tried different woods, several times and I can't get past this point. Any ideas on where to start looking?

make sure that your board sensor is working and clean.

I did my last calibration with a good grade plywood and it worked out well.
I cut a strip about 3" wide by 48" long needed for the Cal belts.
ran the 3/8 bit and made the adjustments.

I have got "Calibration Range Error" running the Cal belt function by not inputing the right measurements at the keypad or if the wood i was using did not read.

If you are running v1.15 you will get all kinds of weird stuff during calibration. I had to go back to v1.134 and calibration went right the first time. Now the machine measures within ~.010 to .015.

    Default Old version, possibly?

Hi.. I suspected the sw update but wanted to be sure. I had no problems before, now I have had several issues with measurement, finding edge failures and patterns no lining up when doing 2 sided carves. I did not save 1.134 where can I get it? Hope the old version works, will let you know. TY

Default Found 1.134 in my archive

Found 1.134 going to loader up.. then do calibrations. Anxious to see what happens.

    Unhappy Nice try, no bone..

Going back to new version, 1.134 had same problem with calibration.. Works great till it does second length stroke on keypad side of 'cal sensors'. Still getting error "Cal Range Error'

did you upload the 1.134 firmware on the memory card? Just to make sure, I did a format of the card and then loaded the v1.134 on the card.
