flex shaft hot

I could hear motor pull down so checked out the flex shaft , it was very hot ,stoped machine in time to avoid damage . regreased, it seems to run fine. Checked run time, to my amasement I have have 26 hrs run time

Could we have an alert say every 20 hrs of run time for us dummies to grease the shaft ?
