Has anyone come up with a method to create a carving (with curves and shapes) on top of a domed surface (or concaved, for that matter)? I could have sworn that I saw a thread on this somewhere, but can't find it anywhere.
Thanks,
Bob Hill

Bud,
YOU ARE THE MAN ! I knew I had seen something on this and for sure, your video is excellent in every detail and covers exactly the process as I need it. THANK YOU, a ton. I had forgotten all about MERGE as I've used it for multiple patterns, but never thought of it's use with surfaces and regions.

Bud,
I thought I'd show you what I needed the carving on a dome for, so here it is. Thanks again.
Bob
Bob, good to see you again, nice job looks like part of one of your models.. Bill.
Computers-Yuk....I should junk it...It never does what it should do...only what I tell it.
Thanks, Bill
That's a partial for the stern of HMS Alfred, circa 1778, a 72 gun 3rd ship of the line.
