It looks great. Looks like movie screen quality.
The finish wasn't too bad...
I gave the wood a coat of black primer...then a coat of a spray paint designed to look like textured stone (rustoleum)..then another coat of black primer (I just wanted the texture from the middle coat).
I then began using various metalic acrylic paints. I used a bronze, copper, antique gold.... I also used a couple other colors for "depth"...a dark red and pumpkin orange. I used a sea sponge to sponge on the colors and to "blend" them all...lastly, I went in with some black just to add back in some shadow.
Once it was all dry, I hit the edges with a little "rub-on" gold wax which can be buffed to a pretty good shine.
