tool/user error.....??????

When using circle/oval/rectangle/square tool,my design suddenly freezes and a small window opens listing the angle or radius......at this point my entire system locks up and my only option is 'Ctrl/Alt/Delete'......what am i doing wrong?

I suspect you're clicking inadvertantly on a control node or whatever they're called- a red or yellow or purple or green dot. You should be able to hit the escape key, or the enter key to be able to resume your task.

As I understand your situation, you have accidentally clicked on a Numeric value in designer. This tells Designer that you wish to "Lock" that numeric to a specified value/location/point. If you type a number or hit Enter, that value will turn YELLOW. To "unlock" that value, just Right Click it, and "Unlock" or Edit as you wish.

I did an AVI on Building a Wedge the other day where I "Lock" a point.

Thanks a million for your answers. You guys were right....and.......Bud..I'm a new owner and I just want to say your AVIs are the BOMB!!!!! I'm not a tech head at all and your vids have helped to simplify what might have been many frustrating situations!!!

or just hit Esc it will reset dench

Or if you get the Dreaded Box to enter a value, just hit enter and it changes from green to yellow then use the undo arrow and back up.
