Smile If you find a deal on woodworking related items please share it here

I found a pretty good deal at Sears and thought I would share it with the group.

Craftsman 1/4 in. QuickRout Kit for $9.99 > The chuck will not work with CW but the but you can't beat the price on four 1/4 in. bit adapters for under $10.00. If you spend over $50.00 you will receive a 10 % discount.

Can I make a suggestion and request to have this turned into a sticky. It would be great for all.

Are you sure these Sears adapters will work in the CW Quick Chuck??

    Hi Rick

I'm not 100% sure but there is a seller on eBay that sells the 1/2 adapter and claim that they will work. http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-CRAFTSMAN-QU...3286.m20.l1116 I ordered some today and when I receive them I will let you know for sure. Maybe in the meantime someone from Carvewrite can comment on the compatibility. I don't want to take business away from CW store but this is a closeout with a limited supply. Dan

The adapters work just fine, same design. The QC fits a Sears Router not the CW.

    Default Bits for $3.17

Most won't work on the CW but the price is hard to beat.

Ratz, I just paid $30 for a 45 degree chamfer bit. They got one for a little over $3.

Thanks Dan & Al - I ordered 3 adapters from Sears.

I wonder if the CompuCarve has become to much of maintenance hassle for Sears to deal with and they decided to drop the product???

Maybe it is just me; but I would have to guess that there is more than $3.00 worth or carbide in a good router bit. It just makes me suspicious about how good a bit they could be. But they are cheap!

This company merged with Price Cutters. I have been using bits in my CW from Price Cutters for almost 3 years and never had one problem. I use their 45 and 60 degree v bits. Never have had to replace a QC and they are the only V- groove bits I use!

As forth to a $3.00 must be a clearance and a bit that is not too popular!

Good find; however, out of stock as of this post.
