Found set screw bouncing around on project

Hi guys
Nearing the end of a project I found a set screw
3/8" long 1/8" thick with a hex head.
I've looked all over the machine with a mirror and flashlight
and can't find anything like it or where it came from.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

check you set screw in your bit holders

is it the same size as them

i had one come loose and fall and fall out of my bit holder and broke a qc

That was it, thanks.
My bit now has little marks on it and I can't
get it back in. Did the same thing happen to you.

my bit holder tip out and broke the side of my qc out


you might want to lift up the snap collar and gently tap on the qc while turning it a little it will usually losen up and come out
