You mean is it loose on the spindle? - Not quite sure how to tighten since I can't get at the...
Seems like this past week caused every unusual problem I could possibly come up with.
First - I get continual Y axis errors on cutting some walnut for a couple of coaches awards. I eventually got...
Been playing with patterns and now I need to figure my next move. Maybe 1/4" wood? (thats an excuse to justify a new bit).
Any ideas what this type of pattern might be used for?
I also was scratching my head but just in case you were thinking more like this - heres one I used for a customer that wanted the house shape on their welcome sign.
2 versions - part of the problem may have been your spelling on the web
I took a combination of the two - centerline text for one, all else for the other. Pine test worked very well (some small soft spots chipped out). Guess cherry is next stop.
Thanks again
225 SEVENTH graders? all doing the same project?
Teachers have always had my repect, but now I am in awe!
the patience of a saint I would guess.
No centerline (but I'll bet you know where I could get it).
So I'll have to go with what I have. Just going to have to live with the time (but I knew that was coming with the large Carve Region)

I'd like to carve this picture frame in Cherry for our new Black Belt graduates, but the wood is expensive and I'd really like a nice display project. Any ideas if this will carve decently?

I really like that one too - Is there anyone Near a Cracker Barrel who has not played while waiting for their meal? (Hmmmmmmm Black Berry Cobbler).
This is not the right forum for it, but I wonder...
Way to go - nice job.
20 years ago my son had Metroid on his way early machine. ?Atari? - I got taken in by that one - more than a little addicted. Spent 4 hours a day for several months glued to...
It is not a high price when you consider all the handwork that goes into the sign (your hourly rate). I usually charge between 50 and 100 depending on the size and material.
I've talked to a...
Arc outside of the vertices?
Try saving both as a pattern and then placing the pattern.
Might work - my initial try did.
Or you could just locate the center of the arc at the point of...
Sorry Armonaug - thought you were telling him to flip his text and pictures.
If flip doesn't work in yours try rotate at 180 degrees for the back.
Here' one I designed (TENTH revision) for a customer, sent it for approval just before I got on the board.
Outdoor sign in...
I hate to disagree with our seniors, they have helped me immensely in the past, but the new make pattern is a wonderful thing. Is this what you were looking for?
Just have to say that I went to the Friday show. Mostly it was a "Walk around and look at what I wish I could afford" show. BUT I met Connie R. from LHR and she was fantastic. She didn't even get...
Well--------- I had planned on doing an iron on for a Tshirt with a picture of the machine and text (something like - "Ask Me About My Carvewright"), BUT ink ran out in the printer and I just don't...
Joe - I'm planning on going on Friday, wearing something identifying myself as a CarveWright owner. Would sure like to meet other owners there.
The wall looks really GREAT!
It just amazes me where the Carvewright owners mind will sometimes go.
While problems are usually of my own creation I'm not sure this one is. I think this is happening because Carvewright is changing servers. I'l try again in a couple of days and see what happens.

Pierre - Do a search for "Large Sign" there are numerous posts on the subject on the forum.
Peace on Earth
Thanks Ken - in haste I was crabbing the node in the upper corner, couldn't get it to work. And of course it worked when I watched what I was grabbing and not just the corner of the outside. Thanks...
I can't find a way to resize it in Designer, but here is the ptn. Keep in mind that you will lose some detail as cuts become wider proportionally to the pattern.
