Fantastic work Greg! Can you tell us some more about your design and build process?
That is a bad azz steampunk cabinet! Frankenstein lithopane! I'm always amazed by your work and choice in subject matter. Very cool stuff. Awhile back you where talking about making a ghost...
Very cool projects! They came out great!
The blue areas are there so you can see where the undercuts are going to be. So when you make a slice you can adjust your slice accordingly. By being able to see the undercuts better you can make a...
I made a stand for the Voyager with the machine. Painting still continues. Check er out.

I saw this on my Yahoo page today. http://news.yahoo.com/s/prweb/20090812/bs_prweb/prweb2721504_1
Seems CarveWright has bigger software ambitions.
"High consumer demand for the powerful but...
The base is MDF. I don't like using MDF because of the sticky dust. I'll be cleaning my machine very thoroughly now. That dust gets everywhere and turns into a very nasty cement like substance....
Yep you will need to recalibrate Steven. They did fix that and it works very well now. By the way. I promised a cutout test the other day. Here it is. Worked great....
Well thank you. Very kind words. The STL software and the machine did most of the work. I just sit there and grin while it carves!
I use the regular 1/16" carving bit on all my carves. The...
Sounds like intermittent power to me. Like it lost power and then regained it, resetting the menu back. Might be a power supply problem or you lost power. I bet you would've noticed if you lost...
For some reason not all my images are showing up. To see more of my stuff go here.

Did some painting last night. This ended up being a really fun little project. I've been wanting to grime up something and paint it to be worn and dirty. I will probably do more on this. Kind of...
It's called a tolerance ring and I'm not aware of any way to fix it. Search that too. Good Luck
I would pull it out again and make sure everything is seated properly. When you seat it to the motor rotate it and make sure you can feel the resistance of the motor. Than make sure it's in all the...
yep, it follows your designer. I have a desktop and a laptop and run the STL and designer on both.
Assembled and primed. I carved the turret in HDU and inserted a dowel for the cannon.

Here is my tank project from start to finish. I started by slicing up the STL's. (This is actually made from about 3 tank models, kinda Frankentank) I carved the body and treads outta poplar....
I used poplar for the body and treads, HDU foam for the turret, and a dowel for the cannon. It's only about 8" long.
Ok, I promised a few days ago I'd show the rest of my tank build. Well here it is with a fresh coat of primer! Turret swivels and everything. It doesn't roll though, gonna have to try that next...

Ok, here is the project I carved last night with 1.152. Sorry, it's not SciFi, but it's a tank! Should have the rest finished tonight to show tomorrow. Cutout tests tonight too. ...
PCW, I'd be happy to share my results. I'll shoot some pics at lunch of the project I'm working on. Everything has carved great. I do have some cutouts to do tonight, and I'll share my results of...
So has anybody actually tried running 1.152? Seems to be a lot of condemnation going on without any substance. 1.150 did have problems, but I haven't found any problems with 1.152 yet. To me it...
wow, this project has got some legs to it! I'll have to go post there.
