It looks like the problem was my old computer. I have tried my wife's laptop and the project uploaded 1st try.
As I think about the plate project 5+ hours of carving time is a bit much so probably...

I tried uploading the sample shell project unsuccessfully about a dozen times and finally got it to upload all the way.
The upload keeps failing at different points, sometimes when flashing machine...
