Hi,
I have not used my Cartwright for about 3 to 4 years. I started to use it again but the boards measure up about 1/8" to 1/2" length and width.
I did use it for about 20 hours making about 30...
Al Who mentioned if the Board Sensor was replaced with a glued version and L2 Power Supply coil had Extra Glue added?
What does this do? Does it help the performance or maintenance of the machine?...
I never had the glued board sensor or power supply changed, to be honest, never knew about that upgrade.
I'll check to see what pin configuration the cable has.
I have in my original post to make...
I'd like $800.00 plus shipping. It does have the new carve tight spindle and low cut hours! Never ran any long hour projects, only small signs and projects.
History - I bought one of the earlier systems. After 6 months had some issues and sent it back to Carvewright under warranty. During the shipping back to me, it fell off the UPS truck and was...
Is there a way to set drill holes a set distance apart from one another. When I place a drill hole it dimensions itself from the board edge or from the center point. Once the two holes are set, I...
This is from a 1960's era Mustang scanned with the CCW Probe.
The photo shows the emblem mounted to the sled for scanning and a finished piece carved out of red oak, light stain and sprayed with...
How about this one. Used some shared images, some free images and the poker hand I converted using Photo Impact.
I originally had centerline text, but changed it to outline in case you don't have...
Yes, used the CW probe. It's a metal emblem from a Mustang.
Here's a scan of an authentic Mustang Emblem, but not sure of the year.
I know there 's a few "Stang" owners out there. Hope you can use it somewhere.
Found this site selling Carvewright Items. Some are the same as Carvewright, but the scanning probe and bit set are very reasonable. Just thought I'd pass it along to everyone to check out.

That's a fantastic piece. The graphics on each side really make it stand out!

eroman,
I'm new at this scanning probe too, but I think I've had pretty good success so far. I think I have a software glitch though. When I start, and position the probe for the first position...
I've used a nice script font (centerline) and signed the back with date and let the CC carve it on the back with a 60 degree bit.
The two scans of the belt buckle are straight from scanner and saved, no adjustments. I'm not sure what if any of the software would help improve the scans.
I'm to new at this to advise on the fine...
I may not have had the detail set to "Best" on the Indian buckle. I just tried another buckle of Busch Beer Mountains set at best and I think it is better than the first. I may try the Indian head...
Retried scanner this morning and everything worked. Sometimes when pushing enter key to proceed to next step, I had to push twice to get the truck moving. I don't know if that's the nature of the...
Thanks for the ideas. Temperature not a problem, even though it's 17 tonight (Buffalo) I've got the CC in the basement, nice and toasty.
After I ran the carving, I tried it again and it worked! I...
I received the missing link (adapter cable) and tried the scanner today.
When powering up the CC, I get the scanner screen and have set all the parameters to the directions, set to cover, not Z pack...
Lootlam, I tried this a few months ago with a Roto Zip bit to cut out parts in 1/4" birch plywood mounted in a sled. It worked ok, but you can see the cutter did heat up a bit. I also ground divots...
I just bought scanner and am trying to find the connector. Is the connector different than what is pictured on Carvewright's web site? I see a flat type of connector on the inside upper right of the...
I saw this in the Dec/Jan issue of Wood Magazine. A mini dust collector.
This may be the answer for the hobby users of the Carve Wright with tight space. Looks like it be swapped around on multiple...
Using the rotate tool you can tilt your work piece and see the pupils are quite high. These were probably black in your imported picture which will be the highest points in your carving. I would...
I just tried some new wood I found at the local Rockler Wood Store.
It's called Alowood, a softwood treated under pressure and color infusion to replicate exotic woods like brazilian cherry,...
