Thank you for the nice comments. I wish I knew how to get a pattern to conform to a dome.....I thought it was possible, but was unable to get it. My conform option was not active so I guess it only...

I put two coats of thinned shellac then several coats of clear. I like the way shellac brings out the personality of the wood.
