Thanks for the reply, Frederick. I had called LHR about this when I first got my computer and was told the same thing. Turning off the Auto Rerender only "fixes" the problem for a very brief period...
I'm having the same problem with my brand new IMac. My OS is: Mac OS X, Version 10.5.8
I've carved in mahogany before, and it does a great job. I would imagine redwood is similar. I just recently bought a beautiful piece off highly figured redwood, after which a buddy of mine warned...
Thanks Ken. I figured at 11 cents cheaper than the bit adapters alone, it was worth a try!
So will this QC fit the CarveWright? If so, this kit seems like an incredible deal at $19.88 (while supplies last): http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00926691000P?mv=rr
Actually, I'm sorry...I wasn't clear. It was the outside corners (around the perimeter of the headstock) that was being rounded off, not the inside.
I think I may have figured it out myself, but haven't had a chance to try it yet on the machine. I was doing a Cut Path, with a -0.125 inset (with the 1/8 inch cutting bit), and that's what gave me...
Wow, very cool Brandon!
Coincidentally, I spent part of last night "designing" a headstock to use as a router template, and I cut it out this morning. But all my corners got rounded off; all else...
Thanks guys! That was some great info, and I've already tried them out! This place is great!

Early on I had the same question, but finally figured it out myself. Yes, it would be nice if we had the ability to use the rectangle tool to draw a box, to help ensure everything was "square", and...
Holy sh@t LG! That is too cool! Can I come hang out with you for a week or two?
So, you're using this for the tuner holes and headstock outline; but in the second video it also looks...
Sorry I didn't respond sooner, Robert. And no, unfortunately, I don't have any good resources. For the little machining I do (if you want to call it that), I just use aluminum bar stock that I get...
Very nice project! Here's another idea to get that look...use real metal!
I've played around quite a bit with mold making (as a hobbiest). If you were to carve something with fine details, and...
Please do, Pratyeka!
I have some issues with bits getting stuck in my QC, and wanted to read up on other peoples' experiences, but you're right, I'm finding this thread way too long now to find...
Bud,
Thanks so much for the off-line help. Apparently, what was going on was...1) the file was much larger than I realized and was taking much longer to download than I expected; and 2) my...
Hi Bud,
Your zip files never seem to work for me, and I'd love to see them. Would you happen to know how I can view them, or is this something I have to get a computer pro to help me with?

I just asked this same question yesterday in a different thread. Here's the response I got, and it worked out great:
Frank
That link worked great, Chris! Thanks again! I'm already up and running on the newer version.
Thanks Chris. I guess I wasn't able to see that option because I'm still running 1.130. How can I upgrade to 1.132? When I use the "Help - Check for Updates" option, it wants me to upgrade to...
I couldn't find the "Optimum" setting...mine only goes up to "Best". Is it in the Bit Optimization tab? If so, I didn't see it there. Or might I have an older software version?
You're right, Chris! Once I made sure that all the constraints and attachments, etc. were removed, then everything seemed to scale correctly. Thanks!
Frank
Thanks guys! And yes, I had already discovered this copy and paste trick, but it just realeases the attachments...it doesn't release all the size, angle and radius constraints. The other thing I...
I can certainly understand that. I saw the software wishlist, and it's pretty extensive...with some great stuff already on there.
Thanks Doc...I was afraid that may be the case, as I really couldn't find any obvious way to do it in the software. Perhaps in the next software upgrade?
Hi, I'm a newbie to the forum (and to the Carvewright). I've had my Carvewright since this past X-Mas, and I'm loving it! I never dreamed it could do as much as it does.
Anyway, on to my...
