I've noticed on mine lately when it goes over to the bit plate it moves down to touch at a much faster feed except for the last 1/8"

Yeah download and install like a regular font. Then when you pick the font in designer you will get the symbols for that dingbat instead of letters.
If you have the centerline software you can download a dingbat font that has it. Then it will carve using the 90º vbit.

I have done an 11.5 hr carve before with no problems. So you should be fine.

Hi All,
I've been looking over all the threads on 1911 grips and decided to try my hand at them. Here is my 3rd attempt. It took a couple of tries to get the screw holes lined up just right. ...
The hood carving was 8" wide and 8' long. It took about 11.5 hrs. That cabinet shop i did the piece for did an amazing job with it.

I've owned a carvewright for several years now and thought I would finally take some time to post a few of my projects.
The first two pics are a carving I did for a oven hood for a local cabinet...
Thanks So much...I will let you know how this turns out
Kenm810,
do you by chance still have the star wars photo in that you used in the star wars theme pattern... If you do i would like to get that so that i could edit it to make it carve a little...
