Can anyone explain to me why LRH charges SO MUCH for shipping? A couple of weeks ago I ordered 3 things - 2 carbon brushs and a pack of 1/2" and 1/4" stop collars. They were shipped to me in a...
Excellent!!!! Thank you, so simple, yet I couldn't figure it out to save my life earlier. Once again, Thanks!!!
Need some advice from some of the more advanced people. How can I put a texture overlay on a bubbled circle? Intent is to have a bubble representing a part of the earth, and have a continent vector...
I know. Unfortunately, LRH will not ship the lube to me here in Hawaii, where I am stationed. Not exactly sure why, but it is what it is. Trying to work around it. On a good note, had a good...
Sorry it took so long to reply. Using a 1/16" bit, and replaced the motor brushes. They were worn down to less than half, which I believe was significantly reducing the efficiency of the cut motor....
OK, so I replaced the Y-bearings and I even replaced my flex shaft cable with another cable that I had purchased from LRH as a spare. Did a test carve (mpc attached) with no issues and thought I...
Is there a guide to changing the bearings? I have searched the forums, and have even tried to get the bearings out on an old Y-motor that failed on me, both to no avail. Not exactly sure how to get...
Appreciate all the tips. Have followed them all, bearings are good and cleaned, bit is good. Checked my cut motor hours, and now am over 250. Have ordered new brushes to replace them, but when I...
How would I check on the bearing? Are you talking about the y-axis fixed roller bearings on the Z-truck? If so, what would I look for? Is it a lubrication/cleaning issue?
On the merge feature, i have always been confused as to how to effectively use the feature. Do I have to select both and then apply "additive" or "subtractive"? What about clip carving? Is there a...
Got 2 questions for the experts out there.
1) I am having some challenges with Y-axis stalls when the carving bit is going from a .000 surface to about a .45 surface over a straight drop. Is...
To all, thanks for the suggestions, but in this case I must hang my head in shame and admit that it is a case of "operator headspace and timing" (those of you who have ever fired a machine gun will...
So, after three weeks of having different part sent to me from Carvewright, to include, a new Y-motor (from LRH, it was bad) and a 2ND new Y-motor (a long drama with tech support which I will not...
LHR tech Joseph worked diligently all day to diagnose the problem. After several back and forths, the "ghost motion" of the Y-motor mount was the indicator as to the solution. When the truck was...
All, Have tried all suggestions. Loosening, retightening tension screw...check. Bearings good...check. Assembly moves smoothly and easily by hand (power off) back and forth...check. Check the...
I had to replace the Y-motor mount on a 3-month old machine. Fortunately was under warranty, so just shipping cost incurred thanks to LHR's help. So replaced the motor exactly according to the...
OK, so talked with a tech rep at LHR this morning. Sent him some additional pictures, and aq short video clip of the Y-motor mount. Looks like the bearing is broken or something similar as it it...
Only bought it 3 months ago; I will call in the morning and see if they will send me a replacement part. Looks like a pretty straightforward replacement procedure. I am in Hawaii, so sending it...
New machine, less than 50 hours on cut, but I think I have found the problem. 5622156222I don't think that that white roller in the middle there is supposed to be bent like that. Is that something...
I am having a problem with the bit not touching the bit plate. I noticed last night when I was doing a carve that the Y-truck seemed to shift a tine fraction mid-carve (see pictures). I did...
Much appreciated. I will try that when I get home from work. I am stationed in Hawaii, which makes the woodworking great year-round, temperature-wise.
It is just simple gold acrylic paint, and the red is red acrylic paint. I have never done anything like this, so it is definitely a learning experience.
Would like some feedback/assistance. Thiis is my first large project, and I am trying to replicate my unit patch. I am unable to figure out how to slant the edges (the outside of the patch, arrows,...
