I have to agree with Lin, Danish oil works VERY well and application is super easy.

I gave up on the bit flapper. Just bend a piece of metal and maually pull the flapper out when it goes to touch it.

There is a bit you can buy that will accomplish what you want to do. However, You would have to use your router to make this slot.

I just installed the Z bundle upgade and I too could not believe the dust that got in and around the pins......I was shocked. Just goes to show you that you must clean good.

Maple by me is $1.90 a board ft for select and better. Doesn't get any cheaper than that.

It's a common problem. When it does it, just hit enter and you should be good to go for the rest of the carving.

All I have been carving lately is maple and haven't had any problems. Carvings turn out crisp and clean.

I had that same problem about a month ago. LHR sent me a new motor.....so far so good.

"Warranty"

Not only is it prone to warping, but you'll pay a premium price for the wider boards. Just remember when you glue them up to "flip flop" the end grain. You don't want the end grain of both boards...
