That was it. Thanks a bunch. After all these years I never realized that the locator plate was mechanical. HA!
Brilliant! I bet that's it. So, I should be able to manually move the carving head all the way to the right and it will flip out the plate?
Can't find anything on site regarding the Bit Tip Locator Plate. Mine is sticking. I have lubed it and it works once or twice then sticks again. It doesn't come out far enough for the bit to touch...
I finally got it. Phew. Combination of flipping, redrawing, realigning the flipped pieces. But this should work.
Thanks to all for the help and input.
Can't open. I have older version.
I can mirror, but I would prefer to flip so I can have two separate files for the left side and right side. Just odd that constraints would matter. Maybe...
I t hink I found it. I started deleting segments one at a time until it flipped, and when I deleted one line the whole pattern turned screwy, line going all over the place. But at least ti woudl then...
Don't even try to get all the components to flip. I gave up there. But I can't even get just the main outline to flip. Although aokweld101 did get it to flip finally. But I have no idea whar changed....
I guess that disprovesw the theory that it would not flip because of the arc. This still has the arc but now flips. I am wondering if it has anything to do with free or tangent intersects. What's...
Wow. Strange. Very strange. Wonder why it won't flip an arc?
But thanks. Very long learning curve on this software. And work in IT for my regular job!
Not locked horiz or vert. Here is the current manifestation. It will flip horizinally but not vertically.
OK. Well I guess there is no way to just take my "pattern" (Is that the right term for this??) and flip it. I will have to flip just the outline and reposition the cutouts and dados.
But why was...
Latest. Now I can flip horiz but not vert. And as far as I can tell I ahven't changed anything. Wish there was a way to select all and remove all constraints.
Hmmmm. Now I'm back to not being able to flip the main outline again. And there are no contratints. This is what keeps happening to me.
I knew that squealing to the forum would make it behave. The main outline if now flipping. But what I would really like to do is to group all the items and flip them at the same time so it is...
I have attached a simple pattern that I can not get to flip, horiz or vert. I have tried removing all contraints, no help.
Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? (constrainst may be back.)
Hmmm. Looks like it's very sensitive. If I go to each intersection and left click on it, maybe move it a little, I find one where the red x comes back. Then the cut path icon becomes active.
...
Nope. Already did that. Every vertex is joined with a red cross. I zoom in all the way to confirm. No doubt.
I'm confused about cut path. I am using Designer 1.187 .
If I create a shape with the rectangle tool or circle tool or create a closed shape all at one time with the spine tool, the cut path icon...
Yes, that is it.
If I raise the pattern, the software will squish it down to fit the surface of the board.
When I select the pattern, it places it on the board, and shows it at full depth of...
If the carve region is remoed, then the full 1.2" depth is shown on screen. I know that can't work, so I am just trying to carve out the top 0.8".
Seems like this should be pretty standard. And if...
I'm using v1.150. The max depth that it allows is 0.8.
But I don't WANT to carve deper than that. I have a region with a depth of 0.8" with my deeper scan poking up through it. What shows on the...
I have adjusted the depth, but that also squashes down the scan, not truncate it, if you will.
I want to carve exactly what I see on the screen as in the attachment.
I am trying to add a scanned object that is 1.2" deep to a carved regoin that is only 0.8" deep. It looks good on screen, but the software will not let me upload the project. It tells me one object...
I think I discovered the problem.
I made a sled to hold an irregular piece of wood, and the system could not accurately find the end of the sled. So I covered the entire sled with a piece of thin...
