My friend wants to run Designer on her Mac, so she can create some carvings, for me to carve.
Can she simply download and create with Designer, and then give me the files for dumping to my card, and...
What fonts did you use?
So, what's the general drill, to accomplish cut-outs (piercings?) on thin 1/4" stock?
I produce a lot of 1/8" and 1/4" solid boards for folks, in all different species. I've got a customer, that...
If folks need wide wood, for signs, or whatever, to run thru their carvewright, then give us a shout.
I do edge glue-ups, in almost all domestic species, and some exotics....in order to get widths...
I sell wood over the web, every day.
I specialize in thin wood (wood under 5/8" thick), but have thicker stock, also.
I agree that an edge glue up, would be less prone to warp, thus many folks ask...
Al, I would think that if you told the machine you were using a 1/4" bit, and instead put in a 1/16" bit, the machine would register differently, since the center of each bit, is not the same. No?
And can our Designer software cut from EPS or DXF ?
Is eBay listing 281428579376 what you're talking about ?
I have a wide belt sander, that should work well, the way you state.
I have the Rock Chuck. Will that work with those bits?. Also, I...

I'm planning on purchasing the files that create these.
For the purchase, I will get the EPS and the DXF file.
From what I'm seeing in the photo's, it doesn't look like...
I'm having a hard time finding round cribbage board patterns, that also have the race ways boxed in, in groups of 5.
If I attempt to create my own pattern, what do you cribbage pattern makers feel...
Tom, where did you get that cribbage board pattern?
seriously? Of all the objects they could have chosen to show this off, they choose a boy taking a leak?
Hmm, that could be. I have had head pressure issues. Too high. But, I don't understnad how that could cause belt drifting.
Non-square squaring plate makes more sense.
I'll check it out.
Several of you are mentioning my head pressure is out of wack.
Are you suggesting it's too high, or too low?
And, why would improper head pressure, cause a sand paper belt, to not track straight?
The left edge of the right belt had curled under.
For some reason the belt had tracked itself to the left (towards the keypad), hit the edge, and then started to curl under.
I replaced the sand...
The fence is not wedging.
When it's slipping, here's what happening....
When facing the keypad, there's a left belt, and a right belt.
Part way thru the carve, the left belt was turning, trying...
The rollers turn freely, when I try to turn them by hand. So, nothing is jammed.
The outfeed tables are not too high....maybe a bit low, but they are not the cause.
Maybe the cedar is just too...
Are you suggesting I remove the best, and clean underneath it?
Or are you suggesting I replace my belt?
This belt has less then 15 carvings on it.
No, it's happening about 1/2 way thru the board.
ok, I'll add masking tape to the board bottom, for traction.
I've been carving some cedar boards that are 41" long, and 3.5" wide.
All of a sudden, when it measures the board in the beginning, part way thru the measurement, I see the sand paper belt moving,...
Where at, Bert?
Got it.
Thanks.
Also, does it make a pattern of the currently selected group, or of everything in the view window?
Ok, in doing so, everything seemed to go ok, except that it dropped the draft on one of the circles I was carving.
Why would the draft disappear?
