I use a craftsman shop vac and have very little dust left overa long as the filter is clean. Seems like you may have an air flow issue. I have found that my board sensor can sometimes be finicky too...
It's dead. But fortunately for me Henry was kind enough to go out of his way to ship me one.

Hello. Thought I'd post again to see if anyone else has a board sensor, new or used, that they're willing to sell. Being in Canada it's a big hassle for Henry to ship to CA. Unfortunately LHR...
Hello,
I'm in need of a board sensor. Does anyone have a board sensor they are willing to sell? New or used is fine.
Thanks,
Frederick
It could potentially be impacted by the board if it's not flat along the edge where the brass roller contacts the board. If you're not sure you can try to measure a piece of flat plywood.

Dovetails were invented long before glue. If they fit that tight without glue they should be fine.

My observation is that this is not true. It seems to select the order based on position on the board to minimize the x travel. When you route a connected line it does it in the direction that the...
Anyone have an extra used memory card reader they are willing to sell? I recently moved and can't find my card reader amongst boxes and boxes of stuff. Went to look at ordering a new one a found they...
Yes, Correct.
If your machine malfunctions on every other project, it might be because you don't have good dust collection.
Good point. RPM is a lot higher than drill press but if there's no side force it makes sense. I guess you just need a good bit that the flutes don't get clogged easily which is often a problem with...
Where do you find a 1/16 end mill with more than 1/4 inch cut length?
Would be nice if the website could actually distinguish between out of stock and discontinued.
I've had no problems on Windows 10 so far with designer 3. So far Windows 10 has run everything I ever used on Windows 7 with no problems.
I'm very happy with the rubber belts. Not a mandatory upgrade but well worth the expense when you've already got so much money in the machine already. Essentially no maintenance which the CW is worth...
I used to get it all the time, regardless of shutting down the machine or not. Over the past six months I've done a lot of vector carves that used to cause the problem a lot and have not had a single...
There's nothing you can do to get rid of this problem, other than being lucky it goes away or doesn't show up. It's a bug in the firmware design that seems to be dependent on performance...
I'll just chalk it up to luck then. I'll take any luck I can get with the machine.
I used to have that problem a lot but have not seen it in a long time. I replaced my power supply a while back with a newer version C power supply and think that may have something to do with it.
AL, has the bit length issue been solved in the latest version of designer? I use a CT with the ER-11 adaptor for my 1/8 cutting bits. I've put them in the bit holder at a wide variety range of...
To answer your question about the board settings menu, it only shows what the selected raster bit is. There is no other window where you can see a list of all bits used on your design like straight...
Double sided tape might be too much to hold the veneer down and then release it safely. And the upcut action of the bit is going to want to lift the veneer and without rigid support on top it could...
You can do it using a sled.
If the touch point is more than about a quarter of an inch lower than the max height of the board you will get stuck in this loop. I've only run into this problem when I used a sled which had sides...
