That was a pattern I created in photoshop based on a Marquesan Island tiki post used in tiki bars/Polynesian themed restaurants as far back as the 1940's. I've yet to reattempt carving it again...

I take that back. Nothing appears to be selected. No dotted line, just the groove of the V bit I had selected. Don't know if this is valuable info for a fix.
